Apple Slaw

This sweet, savory alternative to coleslaw will be a wonderful addition to both your dinner table and the picnic table.

Ingredients:

fat-free sour cream - 1/4 cup
sugar - 2 tbsp
salt - 1/4 tsp
pepper - 1/2 tsp
ground mustard - 1 tsp
unpeeled apples, julienned - 2 lb
lemon juice - 2 tbsp
shredded cabbage - 1 head of

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, sugar, salt, pepper, and ground mustard. Mix well, cover, and chill for 1 hour.

  2. Toss the apples with the lemon juice. Combine the apples and cabbage and mix well. Just before serving, add the dressing and toss.
