cheese fondue

8 oz gruyere cheese
8 oz swiss cheese
1/4- 1/2 dry sherry or vermouth
1/4 cup milk or cream
1 clove garlic
1 loaf italian bread cut into bite size chunks
1 apple cut in bite size pieces green ones are the best

cut cheese into small pieces toss with flour
place in fondue pot (I have an electric one which is great)
add garlic chopped
add sherry keep stirring to prevent burning
you can drain some of the oil off that is from cheese
and milk or cream
start cooking on med then when starts to bubble turn do to low
you might need to add more flour to thicken and bring chees to a smooth consistency

dip bread or apples in fondue…enjoy
just remember not to eat of fondue fork it may be too hot.
