1 cup heavy cream
1 cup water
2 egg yolks – beaten
dash ground nutmeg
2 cups coffee – decaf, strong
2 tablespoons Splenda sweetener
whipped cream – garnish,optional
nutmeg – garnish, optional
Combine cream & water in a medium heavy saucepan.
Combine egg yolks,Splenda & nutmeg;add to cream mixture.
Cook & stir over medium heat till mixture coats a metal spoon.
Add the coffee to the cream mixture, beating with a whisk to combine.
If desired top each serving with whipped cream & a sprinkling of nutmeg
For 6 servings, each serving is: 2 carbs For 8 servings, each serving is: 1.5 carbs
