Easy Potato Bread
I use this for sandwiches & we love it!
1 1/2 lb. loaf:
1/4 c. instant potato flakes
3/4 c. water (for Welbilt/Dak machines add 3 Tbl. more water)
3 c. bread flour (I use all purpose and it works just fine!)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tbl. butter
1 1/2 tbl. sugar
2 tsp. active dry yeast for all machines
Place all ingredients in bread pan. Select light crust setting and press
start. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake
rack and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
When I use our bread machine, I only let the machine mix and do the first rising of the bread. Then I take the dough out, gently, and place it in a bread pan. I then cover and let rise for 30 to 45 minutes; then uncover and bake the loaf at 350º F for 30 minutes. This way there are no holes in the bottom of the loaf where the paddles were! Works every time!
