FISH STICKS, TACO STYLE

Shortening for deep frying
1 package (9 ounces) frozen fish sticks
1/4 cup taco sauce
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Heat shortening to 365: in deep saucepan or deep fryer. Fry frozen fish sticks in hot Crisco for 3 minutes or until browned. Drain on paper towels.
Arrange fried fish sticks on a broilerproof serving platter. Drizzle taco sauce over fish sticks; sprinkle with cheese.
Broil 4 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
