Oatmeal Caramel Bars

1 package white cake mix
2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
3/4 jar Caramel ice cream topping

In a large bowl combine the cake mix, oatmeal and brown sugar. Gently stir in the oil and eggs, combining thoroughly. Pat 1/2 of the dough into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread the ice cream topping over the top. Crumble the remaining dough over the top. Bake at 350-degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
