steak, Rice, and Baked Fruit

Crock Steak

1 onion, chopped 1/2 pint sliced mushrooms 1 c. flour 1 round steak,cut into pieces 1 c. beef boillion 2/3 c. red wine salt and pepper to taste

In a skillet brown mushrooms and onions in a little oil. remove. Roll steak in flour and seasonings and brown in oil. Add remaining ingredients bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hrs, stirring occassionally.

            Mushroom Rice

1/2 c. rice 1 can beef bouillion 4 oz. sliced mushrooms 1/2 stick butter

In a casserole melt butter in a 350 degree oven. Stir together rice bouillion, and mushrooms stir into melted butter and cover with foil, bake 1 hr.

      Curried Fruit

1 ( 29 oz.) can peach halves 1 ( 29 oz.) can pears 1 20 oz. can pineapple chunks 12 maraschino cherries 1/3 c. melted butter 1 1/4 c. light brown sugar 4 tsp. curry powder

Drain fruit. Place in baking dish. Combine butter sugar, and curry powder. pour over fruit. Bake at 350 for 1 hr. basting occasionally.
