BBQ Meatballs (Kids LOVE these)

Dry Breadcrumb Mix:
2 C dry bread crumbs
1/4 C grated parmesean
4 t parsley flakes
1 t oregano leaves
4 t salt
2 t basil leaves
1/4 t cayenne pepper
(Sealed, this keeps in your pantry for a month)

BBQ Sauce:
2 T butter
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 t chilli powder
1 t celery seed
2 T brown sugar
1/4 C cider vinegar
1 t worcestershire sauce
1 C ketchup
1 C water
Dash of Tabasco
Dash of Liquid Smoke (Optional)
Melt butter in small sauce pan and cook onion til transparent. Add remaining ingredients and stir to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 10 minutes stirring occassionally.

Combine 1/4 C dry breadbrumb mix with 1/3 C water, 2 T ketchup & 1 egg slightly beaten. Add 1 lb lean ground beef and mix well with fingers. Shape into meatballs and place in pammed 9X13" pan. (can be shaped into meatloaf.) Bake @ 350 degrees 30 minutes. Remove from oven and drain off excess fat. Pour BBQ sauce over top and return to oven for 10 - 15 mins.
